Insulac is proud to announce that on October 29th, in Lisbon, in the 10th Cheese Competition of Portugal, it obtained the first place in the category to spread with the cheese Valformoso Herbs and Garlic and three honorable mentions in the categories, Cheese of Cow – Normal Cure, Flamengo Cheese and Cheese to spread with Valformoso Natural Cheese.
A total of 208 cheese references were submitted to the competition and 57 companies competed. “The result of this challenge comes from a rigorous, objective and technical analysis done by 21 jurors to 208 references of 100% Portuguese cheese.
The jury was composed of representatives of the cheese industry, the control and certification bodies, educational institutions, catering and gastronomy, distribution and the media. ”
