New lactose-free cream cheese

Insulac, Produtos Lácteos Açoreanos S.A. has just expanded its family of fresh cheeses to spread with another reference, the fourth in this range of products with the Valformoso brand. The new member of the family is the lactose-free Valformoso cream cheese meeting the needs and demands of consumers, particularly those who are lactose intolerant.

The lactose-free fresh cheese spread maintains the flavor and creaminess we are used to in the natural version, eliminating the discomfort that some lactose-intolerant consumers felt. Ready-to-eat product, it can be used for spreads, as well as in culinary preparations, such as for cheesecakes and other desserts, as well as in sauces, dressings and dips.

It should also be noted that the spreadable cream cheese has conquered the most demanding consumers in recent years, having even won at the 10th “Concurso Queijos de Portugal” the award for best cheese in the spreadable category.

From February 2021 this new reference will be available in the main modern distribution chains.
